Who ever said “you can’t choose your family”? Here’s your chance!

Wild Horses are some of the most social creatures in the animal world. You may see a lone stallion, but he won’t stay that way for long. If he’s too young to challenge an established Band stallion, he’ll seek the companionship and protection of other hapless young bachelors. If you see a lone mare, that is almost always a signal that something is wrong, or that she’s about to foal. We are not so different.

We offer the opportunity to imagine yourself, in the wilds of the Ochoco Mountains, running with any of these horses pictured. You can invite others into your band, and you can ignore others who may have joined in the nether world of the internet, because this is a fantasy wild horse herd; your fantasy.

If you desire, you can imagine your Band getting into trouble, or neutralizing threats, or saving the Herd; create and document your own adventures and become eligible for a year-end Battle of the Bands Award.

Just hurry… if you remain alone, the wolves will find you!

All donors participating in the Running Wild program will receive a Band Membership Certificate and a complimentary annual subscription of HERDsentinel. You can’t run wild without information!
